Attending the annual 100 Club Christmas Dinner with Doncaster Rovers FC

As a proud member of Club Doncaster’s esteemed 100 Club, we recently had the pleasure of attending an exclusive Christmas dinner event at the Eco Power Stadium, home of Doncaster Rovers Football Club! The gathering was a grand celebration, attended by the complete first team squad, management, and staff of Doncaster Rovers!

A night of cheer and charity

Despite the hustle and bustle of the festive season, this event was a heartwarming experience filled with festive cheer, mouthwatering turkey, and shimmering tinsel! Over 100 individuals from various local businesses were present, providing a fantastic opportunity to build new professional relationships with fellow 100 Club partners, all while relishing a festive dinner and drinks!

In keeping with their annual tradition, each business and 100 Club partner brought a small gift to the event. These presents will be distributed by the first team squad to the children’s ward at Doncaster Royal Infirmary, spreading joy to those who need it most during this holiday season.

A festive feast to remember

The event commenced at the Jibba Jabba restaurant with a welcoming round of drinks, followed by a lavish three-course Christmas dinner. The menu comprised a Winter Vegetable Soup starter, served with croutons and baked bread, a Turkey Ballottine main course complemented by roasted vegetables, sprouts, and roasted potatoes, and a decadent Chocolate & Orange Gateaux, served with an orange gel and popcorn for dessert. All the dishes were expertly prepared by the superb team at DN4 Events.

Words from the guests of honour

Throughout the meal, guest speakers, including Doncaster Rovers first-team manager Grant McCann and senior player Tommy Rowe, took turns addressing the crowd. They spoke about their football aspirations, community work, and gratitude towards the partners for their unwavering support throughout the year. We were fortunate enough to dine with Doncaster Rovers club captain Richard Wood and George Broadbent, key players for the first team.

Looking ahead

As we look forward to the upcoming year, we are excited to continue supporting Club Doncaster and building on the relationships we’ve fostered with other 100 Club partners. Here’s to more gatherings, more connections, and more success in the year to come!
