We’re looking for a motivated and dynamic Business Development Manager to join our passionate and expanding team.
As a business development manager, you will be responsible for developing new business, both with our existing clients and from onboarding new client accounts. This role is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, loves the challenge of generating new business, is driven by hitting goals and targets, and has excellent people skills. You will be working with B2B clients across all sectors and all types of business to generate leads, assist with client communications, and support the sales process from initial contact through to closing deals.

Hybrid (Minimum of 2 days a week at our Retford location)
Salary: Competitive + Commission
Key responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
• Developing new business opportunities with existing clients as well as winning new client accounts
• Learning and understanding our target audience, clients, services, and processes to effectively communicate our value proposition
• Engaging with clients and prospective clients via phone calls, emails, LinkedIn messaging, and in-person meetings, establishing and nurturing strong relationships
• Working on upselling and cross-selling opportunities by identifying clients’ needs and how our services can meet those needs
• Managing and updating our CRM system with accurate client information
• Collaborating with our in-house teams to create compelling proposals that showcase our capabilities and meet clients’ specific needs
• Arranging scoping meetings/appointments with prospective clients
• Providing exceptional customer service and support to existing and prospective clients
• Supporting the sales team in achieving goals and targets
• Participating in sales meetings and contributing to strategy discussions
Key skills
To be considered, the successful candidate should have:
• Proven experience in a sales or customer service role (preferred)
• A passion for sales and a drive to achieve goals and targets
• Excellent people skills with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage effectively across various platforms (phone, email, LinkedIn, in-person)
• A keen interest in learning about different industries and staying updated on market trends
• The ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating an initiative and proactive approach
• Experience with CRM systems and proficiency in using technology to engage with clients and manage relationships
