Team Bubble Complete RED January Challenge!

As a team, we’re absolutely thrilled to have recently completed the RED January challenge, pledging to embrace physical activity every single day throughout January!

With varying degrees of fitness levels, personal commitments, and the winter weather to contend with, this was certainly a challenge! But one that we were determined to take on together! And we did just that! Taking on RED January has not only been about physical fitness, but also about mental strength, team spirit, and togetherness!

The RED January Initiative

RED January is an initiative aimed at encouraging people to get moving every single day during the first month of the year. As a nation we’re less active in the winter, something that’s often linked with lower mood, energy, and increased depressive symptoms. RED January provides everyone with a free and inclusive way to boost their activity levels and wellbeing. The challenge is flexible, allowing participants to choose their preferred form of exercise, whether it’s a vigorous run, a calming swim or a brisk walk each day, there’s plenty to get involved in!

This was certainly a challenge for the Bubble team, but one that we embraced wholeheartedly. After all, who could resist the promise of increased energy, improved mood, and better overall health!

Amazing Effort and Achievements

Our dedicated team have truly surpassed expectations! Collectively, we’ve clocked over 240 hours of exercise, covered an astonishing distance of more than 920 km, and taken an incredible 1,000,000 steps! This has come from the team taking part in a range of activities including hikes, walks, runs, swims, basketball games, football matches and more! The numbers we have racked up are a testament to our commitment to the challenge, with everyone stepping up and clocking some impressive stats! But beyond the numbers, it’s the shared experiences, the camaraderie, the laughter, and the sense of accomplishment that made this journey truly memorable.

A Well-Deserved Reward

After a month of consistent exercise, we finished our RED January challenge with a team walk around the scenic Idle Valley Nature Reserve, getting in those last few steps! Once we arrived back at the office we ordered Dominos Pizza so the whole team could enjoy a well-earned, indulgent lunch after a month of rigorous fitness activities!

RED January is about more than just boosting our own health through physical activity; it’s also about lifting others up through fundraising efforts. This challenge has not only been a method for enhancing our fitness, but it’s also opened doors for us to make a positive impact on society.
