A ‘funky’ new Magento eCommerce store
Funky Lenses are a UK-based company with over 15 years experience supplying an eclectic selection of high quality, FDA approved cosmetic contact lenses, costumes and accessories for Halloween, cosplay, fancy dress parties and fashion events all around the world.
With the majority of their sales being placed offline via catalogue’s and targeted mailing campaigns, Funky Lenses tasked us with the redesign and rebuild of their online store with a simple and clear goal, to grow their presence and increase their sales online.
After the initial scoping sessions we could clearly see that their existing website, whilst functional, wasn’t offering customers a great user journey or buying experience. We worked closely with Funky Lenses to understand their target market, customer buying personas and industry trends, allowing us to refine the structure and design of the site to make it more appealing to their users and convert more online sales.

dedicated multi-stores, US and UK
The solution was a fully bespoke Magento eCommerce website with 2 multi-store functions, one for the US market and one for the UK market, each store would allow us to target each country with specific products (i.e. offer different products to US customers as apposed to UK customers), the Magento CMS would also allow their staff to add and edit products, process orders, calculate shipping and delivery methods, handle thousands of customer accounts and process hundreds of orders every day, the site was also equipped with a suite of integrations including Fruugo shopping (US store), Royal Mail click and drop, Google shopping and a custom built prescription feature that allows users to select their left and right eye prescription values.
Our vision for the website really focused on improving the user journey, making the whole online experience much more engaging and user friendly. We created wireframe and design templates for all devices to ensure that we delivered a site that was aesthetically engaging, effortless to browse regardless of the device and easy-to-use, with simple product selection, filtering and ordering including a one-step checkout.
Since launch we have seen a significant difference in site performance, the site is attracting in excess of 25,000 unique visits per week and online sales in the first year were a staggering £1m+.
