At Bubble, starting the year on a positive and energetic note is something we’ve come to look forward to every January. For yet another year, our team has enthusiastically taken part in RED January, a nationwide movement that encourages people to get active every day throughout the month of January. Created to support mental and physical wellbeing, RED January is all about embracing activity as a way to improve mood, motivation, and overall health — something we fully support as a team!

This year, we’ve had even more incentive to keep moving, as we’re in training for an ambitious challenge: a 50km fundraising walk this March, in support of the Eve Merton Dreams Trust. With such a big event on the horizon, RED January has been the perfect way to kick-start our preparations while keeping those winter blues at bay.

A Month Packed with Activities

From football to hiking, running to swimming, our team have thrown themselves into a whole range of activities this January. Some of us laced up our boots for a friendly (yet competitive!) game of football or hit the courts for a fast-paced game of basketball. Others opted for brisk walks, scenic hikes, or refreshing swims to stay active.

The variety of activities has been fantastic — not just for keeping us physically active, but also for giving us the chance to bond as a team. Whether it’s comparing step counts, sharing fitness tips, or egging each other on during particularly tough sessions, RED January has brought out our team spirit, along with a dash of healthy competition!

Preparing for the Big Challenge

With our 50km fundraising walk fast approaching, this year’s RED January has felt extra meaningful. The month-long commitment to daily activity has not only helped us stay focused and motivated but has also set the tone for what’s shaping up to be an exciting year of challenges and achievements.

We’re proud to support the Eve Merton Dreams Trust, a local charity close to our hearts, and RED January has been a great way to get a head start on our preparations for this incredible event. Every step, swim, and game of football has been part of the bigger picture: building up our endurance, staying connected as a team, and reminding ourselves of the power of physical activity to make a difference — not just for ourselves, but for the causes we care about.

Beating the Winter Blues, Together

RED January is about so much more than fitness; it’s about looking after our mental health, finding motivation in the darker winter months, and leaning on each other for support. For us at Bubble, it’s a reminder of how teamwork, positivity, and a shared goal can make a real difference in how we tackle the start of the year.

Now that January is behind us, we’re feeling stronger, more united, and ready to take on the challenges ahead — especially our 50km walk in March. If you’d like to support our efforts and the incredible work of the Eve Merton Dreams Trust, we’d love for you to get involved. Keep an eye on our updates as we prepare for this milestone event!

Here’s to a year full of activity, togetherness, and making a difference!
