At Bubble, we believe in giving back to our local community – and what better way to do that than spending time helping an amazing cause surrounded by some very cute furry friends?

We recently kicked off our 2025 corporate volunteering days with a fantastic two-day experience at Thornberry Animal Sanctuary, one of South Yorkshire’s most loved animal charities. As part of our social impact commitments, we offer all Bubble team members two paid volunteering days each year to support causes that matter to them. This time, it was Thornberry that captured our hearts – and it wasn’t hard to rally a few willing volunteers!

We sent two teams across two different days to get stuck in – not just for the animals (though yes, they were adorable!) but to genuinely lend a hand wherever it was needed. From helping in the on-site shop to walking, grooming, and cleaning out the animals and their environments, we rolled up our sleeves and embraced the tasks assigned to us. The days were filled with teamwork, laughter, and plenty of tail wags – and we left feeling proud to have made a small difference.

Why Thornberry?

Thornberry Animal Sanctuary has been rescuing and rehoming animals in need for over 30 years. Based in North Anston, they care for hundreds of animals each year – including dogs, cats, horses, rabbits and other small animals – providing them with the care, love, and support they need until they find their forever homes.

Their work goes beyond just rescue. Thornberry runs community outreach, education programmes, and fundraising events to keep the sanctuary running – all supported by a passionate team of staff and volunteers. Their mission truly aligns with our values at Bubble, and we’re incredibly proud to support their work in any way we can.

Making Time to Make a Difference

Our volunteering days are just one of the ways we aim to have a positive impact outside of the studio. They give our team the chance to get out into the community, support brilliant local charities, and connect in a different way – all while doing something meaningful.

We captured lots of photos and video footage during the day, which we’ll be sharing across our channels to help raise awareness for Thornberry and all the wonderful work they do.

If you’d like to learn more about Thornberry or support them in any way – whether by donating, adopting, or even volunteering yourself – you can find out more on their website:

We’re so proud of our team for getting involved and making the most of their volunteering days. And we’re already looking forward to the next opportunity to give back!
