Our passionate team of design and marketing experts is what makes Bubble, Bubble! Thatβs why weβre shining a spotlight on some of the talented individuals youβll meet when you choose to work with us.
This week, we sat down with Senior Social Media Executive Emily, to find out more about her role and what she loves most about helping our clients reach their goals with effective and engaging social media marketing β plus, a few fun facts you can bring up the next time you speak with her!
1. Tell us a bit about your role at Bubble – what does being a Senior Social Media Executive involve day-to-day?
Day to day, and I know itβs a clichΓ©, no two days are ever the same. I get to work with some amazing clients across all sorts of industries, which keeps things interesting and constantly pushes me to think differently. My days are usually a mix of research, planning, and content creation, making sure everything we put out really reflects each clientβs brand and goals.
What I love most about social media is how fast-paced and creative it is. Thereβs always something new to learn or experiment with, and I enjoy finding those small but powerful ways to make content stand out and genuinely connect with people. I also love digging into the numbers, seeing what works, what doesnβt, and using that insight to shape better campaigns. Thereβs something really rewarding about blending creativity with strategy and watching a brandβs online presence grow because of it.
Balancing my full-time role as a Senior Social Media Executive with being a full-time degree apprentice definitely keeps me on my toes, but I honestly wouldnβt have it any other way. My studies constantly give me new ideas and perspectives that I can bring straight into my client work. At the end of the day, I just want to make sure my clients feel supported, inspired, and confident in the work weβre doing.
2. Whatβs your favourite thing about being part of the Bubble team?
Definitely the people. Iβve worked in other agency settings before, but Bubble feels like a family. Everyone is supportive, collaborative, and genuinely wants to see each other do well. Weβre all like-minded professionals who share the same passion for creativity and great results, and there isnβt a single person on the team I wouldnβt happily go for a drink with outside of work.
One of the things I value most is how supportive management is when it comes to personal and professional growth. Whether itβs taking a step up in my career or being given the opportunity to study towards my degree, theyβve always encouraged and backed me every step of the way. We always get the job done, but thereβs a real sense of fun and energy in the office, and thereβs usually a social event or team activity to look forward to.
3. Social media moves fast – how do you keep up with the latest trends?
Great question! Donβt ask to see my screen time though π. A big part of staying on top of trends is research, research, research! Iβm constantly online, keeping an eye on whatβs happening across platforms and within different industries. Social media moves so quickly, so thereβs definitely an element of being proactive and jumping on trends at the right time. Itβs all about understanding what fits each clientβs brand and knowing when to adapt something to make it relevant and engaging.
4. Whatβs your favourite type of content to create – and why do you think it works so well?
I really enjoy creating storytelling content, the kind that shows the personality behind a brand or highlights the real people and moments that make it special. I think it works so well because it helps audiences connect on a more personal level. People donβt just want to be sold to, they want to feel something and relate to a story or experience.
Whether itβs sharing behind-the-scenes moments, celebrating team wins, or showcasing client stories, storytelling adds that human touch to social media. It builds trust, sparks conversation, and makes the brand feel genuine and approachable. Thatβs what I love most about it – creating content that feels real and makes people want to engage.
5. What first drew you to a career in social media, and what made Bubble feel like the right fit?
Iβve always had a creative flair, and after leaving college, I discovered a real passion for marketing, which led me down the path of apprenticeships, and Iβm now on my third! Over the years, I found my niche in social media management. I love being able to use my creativity to craft content that really resonates with people, while also having the opportunity to work across such a wide range of industries.
When I saw the job listing for Bubble, I instantly knew that was where I wanted to be. I was offered other roles at the time, but I held out because I knew I wanted this one. Bubble stood out to me as a place where creativity is encouraged, ideas are valued, and people genuinely support each otherβs growth both personally and professionally.
6. If you could give one piece of advice to a business trying to improve its social media presence, what would it be?
Trust us and trust the process. Social media isnβt a quick win – it takes time for platforms to understand who your business is, what youβre about, and who your content is for. Consistency and patience are key. Thereβs space for every business on social media; itβs just about finding the right way to show up and connect with the right audience.
7. Whatβs been your proudest moment at Bubble so far?
Itβs hard to choose just one. Since joining Bubble, Iβve grown so much both personally and professionally. Completing my first year of university with most of my grades being firsts was a huge achievement, and progressing into a senior member of the team was another really proud moment.
But itβs not just the big milestones that stand out – itβs also the smaller ones. Hosting quizzes for the whole team at Christmas and announcing awards during our recent workation were big moments for me. As someone whoβs dyslexic, having all eyes on me while reading used to be completely out of my comfort zone, so being able to do that confidently now feels like a real personal win.
8. What hobbies/interests do you have outside of work?
Outside of work, football has always been a huge part of my life. Iβve played since I was really young for clubs including Dronfield Town, Derby County, Sheffield Wednesday, and now Sheffield United Community Foundation Ladies First Team.
More recently, Iβve found a new passion for baseball and joined the Sheffield Bruins Women’s team over the summer. Anyone who knows me knows Iβm full of energy, and being in competitive environments is the perfect way to channel my competitive nature.
I love being part of a team – itβs competitive but also a great way to unwind, stay active, and meet amazing people. Playing sport has definitely taught me a lot about teamwork, discipline, and balancing commitments, which I think translates really well into my career too.
9. Youβve got two Frenchies – tell us about them!
I do! They really are my world, and anyone who knows me knows I never stop talking about them. I have Bonnie (2) and Sadie (1) – the most playful, cheeky little girls and honestly everything I dreamed of having growing up. I always knew Iβd have dogs one day, and now I canβt imagine life without them. Theyβre full of personality, always up to something, and definitely keep me on my toes but I wouldnβt have it any other way!
10. And finally, describe your perfect weekend in three wordsβ¦
Football. Friends. Frenchies.
