Our passionate team is at the heart of everything we do at Bubble, and it’s the people behind the work that truly set us apart. That’s why we love shining a spotlight on the talented individuals you’ll work with when you partner with us.

This month, we’re catching up with Rhiannon, our Social Media Manager, to learn more about her role, what goes on behind the scenes managing Bubble’s social presence, and how she leads the social team to create engaging, authentic content. We also get to know a bit more about Rhiannon outside of work – including a few fun insights you can bring up the next time you chat with her!

1. Tell us a bit about your role at Bubble – what does being Social Media Manager involve day to day?

Wow, well it’s definitely the most varied role I’ve ever had – and that’s said even as a specialist in one area! The primary focus of my role is looking after Bubble in the social media world – so any content you see on any of our pages, it’s most likely me who’s behind it! I monitor and keep on top of our community engagement, keep track of our analytics and spend a LOT of time terrorising the team for video content.

I also support our wonderful team of social media executives with anything they need in order to give their best for their clients and for themselves. Be it helping with idea generation, proof reading content and getting a second opinion, answering those slightly harder-to-answer questions or just generally being someone to lean on when they need it.

2. What does managing Bubble’s social media actually look like behind the scenes?

I actually said to a colleague just a few days ago: β€œWhat on earth is my job?!” as I was crouched on the floor, in some contortionist-esque fashion, attempting to get the perfect angle, whilst juggling a teleprompter and getting footage of myself filming footage of someone else… (watch the video in this blog to see if I got anything worth the struggle πŸ€ͺ)

This is so hard to fit into one answer, as there really is so much to go at! But, as a video-first kind of creator and team, we aim to produce as much as possible of the same kind of content that we advise our clients to focus on, and that’s because we look at the data our analytics gives us and we’ve identified what reaches our audience and what engages them. (In short: we do it because it’s what works!)

So, behind the scenes, there’s a lot more numbers than you might expect – analysing the trends we find in our social output from month to month and figuring out what works and what doesn’t. When I’m not sitting behind the laptop, you’ll probably find me fiddling around with equipment, figuring out the best apps to use for various tasks, and editing. Lots and lots of editing (I’ll be sure to share some of the many hilarious bloopers I’ve already captured in my time here so far, so keep an eye on our socials for that!).

When it comes to social media, so many people believe if they can post on their own Facebook account, then they’ve got what it takes to manage their business’s account too. But it really isn’t just a case of taking a pretty picture and posting it with a hashtag and a popular emoji (although I do love a 🫢).

3. What do you enjoy most about leading the social media team at Bubble?

Is it too obvious to say my wonderful team?! I get to work closely with three incredibly creative, thoughtful and social-savvy ladies, and we genuinely just click. We complement each other so naturally – filling in knowledge gaps, hyping one another up and stepping in with support whenever it’s needed.
Even as head of the department, I’m constantly learning from them, which is something I really value. Seeing their ideas develop from initial concepts into standout content is so rewarding, especially when it’s met with brilliant feedback from clients. Being part of that process, and watching the team grow in confidence and craft, is what I enjoy most.

4. Social media never stands still – how do you help the team stay creative, confident and up to date with trends and platform changes?

Say it louder for people in the back! Social media moves unbelievably quick, and there are so many trends that come and go in a flash. Obviously, in the social team we’re all pretty much stuck to our phones 24/7 anyway, but even that’s not always enough to make sure it works for our business and our clients too.

I’m a real believer in continuous professional development and that there is always something new to learn. So I’m forever checking out ways we can implement this within the team, as well as for myself – whether it’s an online course or a webinar, or even discovering inspiring industry pros on LinkedIn! We now also have a monthly catch up where the social team can bring whatever they want to the table – to share ideas, trends and help one another get our creativity flowing!

5. How do you approach creating content that feels authentic, while still delivering real results?

Working in an agency like Bubble, creating authentic content is never really a challenge. For me, it comes down to striking the right balance. That means mixing fun, culture-led content that showcases the people behind the brand, with expert, educational posts that genuinely add value and offer something your audience won’t find elsewhere.

Then there’s the sales element! You only need a pinch. If you can weave that in without it feeling obviously salesy, you’re onto a winner. With a strong mix of those three elements, you’re not only building an online community that feels engaged and invested, but you’re also delivering the results the business needs.

6. From your point of view, what makes Bubble different from other agencies?

For me, I think it’s the fact that everyone has their specialty. There’s no jack of all trades, no master of none. Everyone in the Bubble team has their niche – and they are flipping good at it!

There are so many agencies you’ll come across that claim to offer a whole plethora of services, only to discover later down the line, it’s one marketer who, sure, might have years of experience, but they’ve never doubled down on something they’re passionate about – and that shows through in the work they deliver.

And, I guess that’s the real difference. Bubble is absolutely brimming with passion!

7. What’s been your proudest moment (or highlight) since joining Bubble?

It’s not so much a moment, more of a feeling. I joined Bubble in September 2025, so not too long ago, and since then the lovely feedback I’ve received, throughout the business, has not only boosted my confidence as a marketer, but massively impacted my way of working and how I support my team as a manager.

To hear that you’ve had a positive impact is really the most motivating thing! And obviously it makes me feel a little bit proud too πŸ₯°

8. What do you enjoy doing outside of work when you’re not creating content or scrolling socials?

In addition to being the SMM at Bubble, I am also the very lucky mummy of two, very dependable (πŸ™ƒ) little boys. So, as any of you that are parents will know all too well, my spare time is very much spent with them – when we’re not just in the throes of chaotic home-life, cleaning up toys for the 50th time in a day or wiping their snotty faces, we love going for walks, holidays and, as a family we’re all massive foodies too, so eating!

In the time I do get to myself though, I love running, sweating any stresses out at spin class, and I live for a glass of wine with my besties at the weekend. Just your typical millennial gal really!

9. What’s one thing your colleagues might not know about you?

I’ve always been a musical theatre lover; I grew up involved in performing arts and at the age of 17 was accepted into Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts down in London. Unfortunately due to various reasons, I wasn’t able to go and have clearly directed my creativity down a different path! But, I do still love to sing, dance and, as you can probably tell from my many video appearances on the Bubble socials, perform!

10. And finally – if you could swap roles with anyone at Bubble for a day, who would it be and why?

Do I get their incredible skillset too?! This is very hard as I’d love an insight into everyone’s day at work! I think I’d go with one of the creative designers though. I’m a dab-hand with Canva and, for sure, have an eye for what looks good, but I just think to be able to create some of the incredible designs they do, and see them come to life throughout a business’s journey – from their logo, and website, to packaging, printed marketing collateral and all the rest – would be so fulfilling!
