At Bubble, we’re passionate about helping the next generation discover the exciting opportunities available within the creative and digital industry.

As part of our Future Talent Programme, we recently welcomed seven work experience students from local secondary schools into the agency, giving them the opportunity to experience what it’s really like to work in a full-service design and marketing agency.

Over two weeks, Dylan, James, Alicia, Jacob, Charlie, Luca and Bella joined the Bubble team to learn new skills, work alongside industry professionals and develop their own creative brands from concept through to launch.

Designed to inspire, educate and build confidence, the placements gave each student a genuine insight into agency life while allowing them to experience every stage of a creative project.

A real agency experience

Rather than simply observing, the students became part of the Bubble team for the week.

Working alongside our specialists in Design, Web Design, Content & SEO, Web Development and Social Media, they discovered how each department contributes to bringing brands to life.

Throughout the placement, they worked on a project that mirrored the process we follow with our own clients, learning not only the technical skills involved, but also the importance of collaboration, creativity and communication.

From concept to launch

Each student was challenged to create a brand based around something they were passionate about.

Over the course of the week they:

• Researched competitors and target audiences
• Created a brand name, logo and visual identity
• Developed brand values and a mission statement
• Learned how to write SEO-friendly website content
• Designed a one-page website
• Built a landing page in WordPress using Elementor
• Created social media content to launch their brand
• Presented their finished project to the Bubble team

Seeing each student’s confidence grow throughout the week was incredibly rewarding. They embraced every challenge, asked thoughtful questions and showed genuine enthusiasm for learning.

Showcasing some fantastic work

By the end of the placement, the students had produced an impressive range of creative work, demonstrating everything they had learned throughout the week.

From branding and logo design to website layouts and social media content, each project reflected the student’s own interests and personality while showcasing the skills they had developed during their time at Bubble.

Here’s a few examples of the work the students created during their placement:

Supporting future talent

The Future Talent Programme forms an important part of Bubble’s wider Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) commitments.

We believe businesses have a responsibility to invest in the communities they serve, and one of the most meaningful ways we can do that is by helping young people explore future career opportunities.

Whether through work experience placements, apprenticeships, careers events or academic workshops, we’re committed to providing meaningful experiences that inspire confidence, encourage creativity and help students better understand the wide range of opportunities available within the creative and digital industries.

We’re incredibly proud to play a small part in supporting the next generation as they begin thinking about their future careers.

What our students had to say

“I really enjoyed the first day, especially coming up with our business idea and planning everything out. It was exciting to see our ideas develop throughout the week and watch them come to life.”

“One of the biggest things I’ve learned is how important social media is for a business. I knew it was a good way to share content, but I didn’t realise how much it can help businesses attract customers, generate sales and build their brand.”

“I’d definitely recommend Bubble to other students looking for work experience. My brother completed his placement here a few years ago and recommended it to me, so I was excited to see what it was like. It definitely lived up to what he told me!”

Dylan

“I really enjoyed creating my own brand because it gave me the freedom to develop something based on my own interests and ideas. Using software I was already familiar with meant I could experiment with different designs and concepts, which made the whole experience really enjoyable.”

“I’d definitely recommend Bubble to other students looking for work experience. Everyone was really welcoming, the atmosphere was relaxed, and getting the opportunity to create and design your own company was a lot of fun.”

James

“I’ve learned how to create my own website and gained a much better understanding of how the different departments work together to deliver a project.”

“I’d definitely recommend Bubble to other students because you get the opportunity to work with different teams across the agency, giving you a great insight into how the business operates.”

Our team’s perspective

Supporting young people as they begin exploring their future careers is something we’re incredibly passionate about, and our team thoroughly enjoyed sharing their knowledge and experience throughout the placements.

“Watching the students bring their brands to life through web design was one of the highlights of the week. They were eager to learn, took on feedback really well, and it was great to see their confidence grow as their website designs developed throughout the day.”

Emily, Senior Social Media Executive

“The students showed a real willingness to learn and quickly understood the importance of creating content with a clear purpose and audience in mind. It was brilliant to see them thinking creatively about how to launch their brands through social media, and they all came up with some fantastic ideas.”

Thank you!

A huge thank you to Dylan, James, Alicia, Jacob, Charlie, Luca and Bella for spending time with us over the past few weeks. Every one of them was enthusiastic, engaged and eager to learn, making them a pleasure to have in the agency.

We’d also like to thank the Bubble team for sharing their knowledge, mentoring the students throughout their placements and helping create such a positive and inspiring experience.

We can’t wait to welcome the next group of students through our Future Talent Programme and continue inspiring the next generation of designers, developers and marketers.
