At Bubble, we’ve always believed that creativity thrives in the right environment – and sometimes, that means taking the office somewhere completely different.
Last week, we packed up our Macs, swapped our desks for scenic countryside views, and headed to West Yorkshire for our second Bubble Workation. The idea was simple: spend time working together in a new setting, away from the usual day-to-day, and make space for genuine connection as a team.
Our home for the trip was a stunning Airbnb surrounded by rolling hills and open views – complete with hot tubs, a sports hall, karaoke room, bar, pool table, and plenty of space to work and unwind. During the day, we got stuck into projects, collaborated, and made the most of the change of scenery. And when the laptops closed, the evening was all about team games, drinks, takeaway pizzas, and lots of laughter (plus some questionable karaoke performances, not naming any names 👀).
We even held our very own Bubble Staff Awards – a bit of light-hearted fun where the whole team voted for one another in a range of categories. From “Unsung Hero” to “Cuppa MVP,” it brought out some friendly competition and plenty of well-deserved recognition. A perfect way to round off the night and celebrate the people who make Bubble what it is.
While it’s easy to see our Workation as a fun getaway – and it definitely was – there’s much more to it than that. For us, these trips are about investing in our people, giving everyone the chance to recharge, connect, and strengthen the bonds that make Bubble such a special place to work.
Our culture has always been built on togetherness. Whether it’s through our cultural roles team, team-building events, or social impact work, we’ve seen time and time again that when people feel happy, valued, and supported, great work naturally follows.
Our Workation was more than just a change of scenery – it was a reminder of what makes Bubble so unique. When we take time to connect, laugh, and step outside our usual routines, it strengthens the trust, collaboration, and creativity that drive everything we do. These are the moments that fuel our creativity and keep our culture strong.
