Over £535 raised (and counting!) for our Charity Partner of the Year
At Bubble, we believe in making a positive impact both inside and outside the workplace. That’s why, as part of our ongoing Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme, 18 members of the Bubble team recently swapped their desks for hiking boots to take on the Peak District Ultra Challenge, all in support of our Charity Partner of the Year, Bassetlaw Hospice.
Together, our team tackled either the 10-mile or 25km route through the stunning Peak District, raising over £535 to help support the incredible care and services Bassetlaw Hospice provides to people and families across our local community.
Taking on the challenge
The Peak District Ultra Challenge is renowned for its breathtaking scenery and well-organised event experience, with thousands of participants taking on a variety of walking, jogging and running routes through the Derbyshire countryside.
Fortunately, the weather was on our side. Although rain had been forecast, it largely stayed away throughout the day. After the heatwave we’d experienced in the weeks leading up to the event, the cooler conditions actually made for much more comfortable walking!
With clearly marked routes, fantastic support from the event organisers and plenty of encouragement along the way, our team set off in high spirits and successfully completed their chosen routes in around 6–8 hours. Whether it was the 10-mile challenge or the full 25km route, every single person should be incredibly proud of what they achieved.
Supporting a charity close to our hearts
This challenge was all about supporting Bassetlaw Hospice, our chosen Charity Partner of the Year.
The hospice provides outstanding care, compassion and support to people living with life-limiting illnesses, as well as their families, making a real difference to so many lives within our local community. We’re incredibly proud to support the hospice throughout the year, and events like this are a fantastic opportunity to give something back while raising awareness of the amazing work they do.
Seeing the generosity of friends, family, clients and supporters who donated has been fantastic, and we’re delighted to have raised over £535 so far.
More than just fundraising
At Bubble, we know that great culture is built through shared experiences.
While the challenge certainly tested our legs (and in some cases, our determination on the hills!), it was also a brilliant opportunity for the team to spend time together away from the office, encourage one another and celebrate a shared achievement.
Supporting local charities and community initiatives is an important part of who we are. Through our CSR programme, we’re committed to creating a positive impact beyond the work we deliver for our clients, whether that’s through fundraising, volunteering, educational outreach or supporting local organisations that make a genuine difference.
Taking on the Peak District Ultra Challenge perfectly reflected those values and demonstrated what can be achieved when a team comes together behind a common goal.
Thank you!
A huge thank you goes to everyone who donated, supported us and cheered the team on throughout the challenge. Your generosity has helped raise valuable funds for a truly deserving local charity.
If you haven’t had chance to support our fundraising efforts yet, it’s not too late. Every donation helps Bassetlaw Hospice continue delivering the incredible care and support they provide to our local community.
