We’re looking for a PHP WordPress Developer to join our passionate and expanding digital team.
As a PHP WordPress Developer, you’ll work closely with our design and development teams to build, develop, and maintain a wide range of responsive, high-quality websites. You’ll be involved in the full lifecycle of web projects – leveraging modern technologies and contributing to everything from initial planning and custom theme development to optimisation and post-launch support.
We’re looking for someone with a genuine passion for coding, a sharp eye for detail, and the ambition to keep improving their skills. You’ll be comfortable sharing ideas, solving technical challenges, and collaborating with a tight-knit team of thinkers, designers, and developers. Meeting deadlines, adapting to evolving project needs, and striving for code quality will come naturally to you.

Key responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
• Developing custom WordPress themes and plugins using PHP
• Building responsive, accessible, and high-performance WordPress websites
• Implementing designs accurately using HTML, CSS, JavaScript and jQuery
• Integrating third-party APIs and custom functionality
• Maintaining and updating existing client websites, including performance and security enhancements
• Troubleshooting bugs and providing technical support
• Ensuring all websites follow best practices for speed, accessibility, and SEO
• Supporting site migrations, including handling redirects and technical setup
• Collaborating with designers and project managers to deliver high-quality work
• Conducting thorough testing to ensure quality and functionality across devices
Key skills
To be considered, the successful candidate should have:
• Strong PHP development skills
• Proven experience with WordPress development, including custom themes and plugins from Figma designs
• Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript and jQuery
• Experience working with WordPress, ACF and Elementor
• Good understanding of web performance optimisation
• Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritise effectively
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to technical challenges
• Clear written and verbal communication skills
• A willingness to continue learning and adopt new tools, frameworks, and workflows
• Familiarity with GIT or other version control systems
Desirable skills
• Experience with WooCommerce
• Knowledge of modern JavaScript frameworks
• Familiarity with Figma or similar design tools
• Experience with API development or REST integrations
• Experience using SSH to migrate and manage websites
• Understanding of modern UX and UI best practices
• Ability to deliver WordPress CMS training to clients
• Comfortable working in a Mac-based environment
