We’re looking for an experienced Social Media Executive to join our ambitious and growing team.

You’ll manage a portfolio of client accounts across a diverse range of industries, creating engaging social media content that combines strategic thinking with creative execution. From designing graphics and filming Reels to writing compelling copy and analysing campaign performance, you’ll help our clients grow their online presence and achieve measurable results.

The role includes planning, creating and scheduling content, attending client filming days, producing engaging short-form videos, designing eye-catching social media graphics, managing campaigns, and analysing performance to help our clients grow their online presence and achieve measurable results.

Full-time
Hybrid (Minimum of 2 days a week at our Retford location)
Salary: Dependent on experience

Key responsibilities

You will be responsible for:

• Developing and implementing social media strategies tailored to each client’s business objectives, target audience and brand identity
• Managing a portfolio of client accounts across platforms including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and TikTok
• Planning, creating, designing, scheduling and publishing engaging social media content, including writing compelling captions
• Designing eye-catching social media graphics using Canva, Photoshop or similar design software, ensuring all content aligns with each client’s brand guidelines and objectives
• Attending client content filming days to capture engaging photo and video content, with a particular focus on creating high-performing Reels and short-form video content
• Working with clients to plan, storyboard and capture authentic content that showcases their brand, products and services
• Collaborating with our designers, content writers and wider marketing team to produce creative, results-driven campaigns
• Managing content calendars to ensure campaigns are delivered on time and to a consistently high standard
• Tracking campaign performance, analysing insights and producing monthly reports with recommendations for continual improvement
• Keeping up to date with the latest platform updates, social media trends and emerging content formats, bringing fresh ideas to client campaigns
• Building strong client relationships through regular communication, monthly meetings and strategic recommendations
• Supporting the planning and delivery of paid social media campaigns alongside the wider digital marketing team where required

Key skills

To be considered, the successful candidate should have:

• A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a social media marketing role, preferably within an agency environment
• Excellent knowledge and understanding of Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and TikTok and other major social media platforms
• Strong copywriting skills with the ability to adapt tone of voice for different brands and audiences
• Confidence creating professional social media graphics using Canva, Adobe Photoshop or similar design software, with a good eye for layout, typography and branding
• Confidence filming and capturing high-quality social media content using smartphones and camera equipment
• Experience creating or editing short-form video content for platforms such as Instagram Reels, TikTok and LinkedIn
• Experience using video editing software such as CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro or similar
• Experience creating a combination of static graphics, carousels and short-form video content for social media platforms
• Experience using social media scheduling, management and analytics tools
• A good understanding of social media performance metrics and how to use insights to continually improve campaign performance
• Excellent planning, organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple client accounts and deadlines
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with confidence presenting ideas and communicating directly with clients
• A proactive attitude, strong attention to detail and willingness to continually learn and develop
• A collaborative team player who thrives in a fast-paced agency environment
• Experience with paid social media advertising is desirable but not essential
