We’re looking for an experienced Web Developer to join our passionate and expanding web team.
As a Web Developer, you’ll be involved in the complete lifecycle of projects, from developing websites using open-source platforms, to carrying out maintenance and support tasks for our clients. You will work closely with our design and development teams throughout the duration of each project and have direct contact with clients when fault finding, delivering site builds, delivering CMS training, and resolving support enquiries. You should have a passion for the industry and a strong desire to grow and develop your skills. The successful candidate will have an ability to meet deadlines, have excellent client communication skills, and be good at problem solving with a keen eye for detail.

Key responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
• Working closely with our design and development teams on various website projects
• Developing websites, landing pages and email marketing campaigns that are built fully responsive
• Maintaining and updating a series of websites across various open-source platforms
• Adding content to various websites via the CMS including product data, blogs and case studies
• Assisting clients with support and maintenance tasks
• Assisting clients with their email accounts
• Ensuring our websites comply with the latest best practices specified by Google
• Ensuring that our websites pass Core Web Vitals and achieve high performance scores
• Proactively suggesting improvements to client websites
• Ensuring your work is carried out to the highest quality and surpasses client expectations
• Testing new development work thoroughly
• Managing hosting settings and backups
• Managing your own time and dealing with the pressures of tight deadlines
• Managing multiple projects simultaneously
• Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and technologies
• Liaising with clients throughout the development stage
Key skills
To be considered, the successful candidate should have:
• Experience working within WordPress CMS (WP Bakery or Elementor page builders)
• Knowledge of front-end development including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, PHP, JQuery or Bootstrap
• Experience in optimising websites for speed and performance, using Core Web Vitals and Page Speed Insights
• The ability to work with designs provided in Figma and Adobe XD
• The knowhow to implement HTML email marketing campaigns and email signature development
• Experience using the Google suite of web tools including Analytics, G-Suite, Business Profile, Ads and Search Console
• The ability to build high quality websites that are pixel perfect and match the design supplied by our design team
• Knowledge of SEO techniques and best practices to ensure each website ranks effectively
• Experience working with API’s and plugins to connect our websites to other systems
• An excellent understanding of web best practices including accessibility, SEO and performance
• Excellent communication, time management and organisational skills
• Ability to work in a fast paced agency
• Ability to work efficiently maintaining high quality and accuracy
• Multi-project management skills, adhering to timelines and performing under pressure to achieve the targets
• Good attention to detail
• Excellent team working skills to collaborate with various team members and work in alignment with them
